The hands you analyse stay on your device. This page collects anonymous usage and performance figures, and nothing else.

The hands stay with you

All the analysis runs inside your browser. When you paste a deal, a LIN record or a Bridge Base Online handviewer link, that text is read and solved locally — there is no server doing the work, so the hand itself is never sent anywhere.

That matters because a BBO record usually carries the players' usernames alongside the cards. Since the hand never leaves your browser, those usernames never reach us: they are not transmitted, not stored, and not something we could look at even if we wanted to.

What is kept on your device

The site remembers the last hand you looked at and a couple of display preferences, so that returning to the page picks up where you left off. That is held in your browser's local storage and stays there — it is never uploaded. Clearing your browser's site data removes it, and the Clear button on the page does the same thing.

What we do collect

When the page loads, and when an analysis finishes, the site sends a short anonymous record so we can tell whether the tool is being used and how quickly it runs on real hardware. In broad terms that is:

Performance figures are what make this worth collecting at all: the analysis is demanding, and knowing how it behaves on older phones and tablets is the only way to make it usable on them.

The benchmarks send one such record when a run finishes: which suite and preset ran, how long it took, how many deals or claims it covered, how many claims the search could not settle, and whether the results matched the native tools'. Their deals and claims are the same for everyone, so the record says nothing about any hand of yours. A run you stop part-way sends nothing.

The claim checker sends one record per claim checked: how long it took, how many cards had been played, and whether it checked one claim or worked out the most a player could claim. Not the claim, the verdict, the claimer or the hand.

What we deliberately don't collect

Where it goes

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, and the anonymous records are stored on their analytics platform and deleted automatically after about three months. Your IP address is used in passing to work out which country a request came from, and is not stored. Nobody else receives any of it, and none of it is sold.

Everything collected is published openly on the statistics page — the counts, the timings, the browser and country breakdowns. That is the most direct way to check this page against reality: what is on that page is what is collected, and there is nothing else.

If this page is embedded elsewhere

This analysis can be embedded in other websites. Where that happens, the host site's own privacy policy governs that site, and this one governs this page. The hand you are looking at is not shared with the site hosting it.
